Throughout the year I wear sweaters, yes, even during the hot summer days. I do get looks, but it’s a comfort thing for me, not just style. Sweaters make me feel good and comfy and safe. I look forward to the first cold days after September because that is my queue to go cozy-crazy! I am so happy that Sweater Weather is Here and I am Here for it!
I love baking with the kids, it’s a perfect time to spend some time together and chat, laugh, and make a collective mess. There are 8 humans in our home, collective messes are our specialty! Our Family was invited to watch an advanced screening of The Nutcracker movie last week, I promise I will not spoil it. I had never seen or read any version of the Nutcracker so I was excited. I’m not sure how the original story or play go, but this movie took my breath away! The scenes, dances and story was so beautiful and full of magic. As a Mom of 6 kids I have tried everything under the sun when it comes to chores. Chore charts work. It’s that simple. Whatever reward was attached to the completion of the week was not as important. It was the satisfaction and happiness when they saw the chart completed. I have also bought the biggest and fanciest charts. I have made my own from printer paper or poster boards. Again, it was always about the end result. Having adorable and fun chore charts are pleasing to the eye of course, so any chance I got to use designs and characters was always a bonus!
