Our Family was invited to watch an advanced screening of The Nutcracker movie last week, I promise I will not spoil it. I had never seen or read any version of the Nutcracker so I was excited. I’m not sure how the original story or play go, but this movie took my breath away! The scenes, dances and story was so beautiful and full of magic. I recommend that you go watch it and see it for yourself, I know that you will not be disappointed! I hope that you enjoy this Nutcracker Soldier Rice Krispie Treat Recipe & Coloring Pages.
12 Strong- My Story of Meeting the 12 Horsemen and Attending the World Premier
If you follow me on social media you may have seen me sharing a lot about the movie 12 Strong. I first was approached about this movie when I was invited to attend the press junket in Los Angeles to interview the cast, and screen the movie. I read the press materials, I read the interviews and I immediately fell in love with the story. To learn that this was an actual mission that these Soldiers volunteered for, just blew my mind!

Finding MY Inspiration In A Movie About So Much More Than Running, About My Culture #MiInspiracion
Last week I was sent a screening copy of the “McFarland USA” movie, my Family watched it; and I do have to say that I was completely surprised by it and it’s after effects. As a tomboy I am a big fan of sports related movies, especially when they are based on a true story. I knew this movie was based on a true story, but I didn’t really know much more about it. The fact that I am Mexican and the movie is based on Mexican families had not made me more excited to watch it; despite what my friends thought (which was that I would want to watch this movie because it was about Mexican families living in California (hello! I am Mexican, and my family lives in California))
My Husband, our kids, and myself were watching it together. Like with many “popular” movies, I was apprehensive about watching it, trying not to love it at first glance because I wanted to give it a full look before forming my opinion. After the first 5 minutes, there was a scene that caught me

It’s no secret that we are a Military Family, the name of our blog alone says it all… Adventuresof a Military Family of 8.
So, when I was offered the chance to write a post about OUR Hero: Disney’s Planes Fire & Rescue: Celebrating our Everyday Heroes #MiHeroeFavorito; it is no surprise that I jumped at the opportunity.Seriously, writing about OUR own Hero, my Husband, who served over 15 years in the US Navy, who went on 5 Deployments, who spent a Christmas in Afghanistan during an 8 month deployment, who sacrificed SO much for us; it was a no brainer…

My love for Winnie the Pooh and all things yellow and red has been around since before my 1st child was born, 18 years ago 😉 The poor boy had no choice but to fall in love with Winnie the Pooh as his entire room was decorated with anything and everything “Pooh” I could find. Since then all my children after inherited his movies, and toys. It’s a Family affair 😉
