Oh you know, just the typical Monday lunch 😉
I have had a rough last week, my blog was in the group that was infected with malware though an ad, google blacklisted my site, a dear friend had complications with her cancer, another dear friend found out she had a lump in her thyroid, and to that goes the stress of
everyday life, money, relationships.
Today, I went outside with the kids, and a hummingbird came right by my face; I screamed thinking it was a bee! The hummingbird kept flying around me, then would go have a snack in the flowers and would keep coming up to me!!!
I took as many pictures as I could, placing my camera right by it, and it would not go away!
One time it came up to look at my phone, I guess it was wondering what the clicking sound was (from my camera) and it flew in one spot, looking in my lens,; and even pecked or kissed it!
It flew away after staring at me for a few seconds, like saying “bye!”
I was SO happy, I remember my Grandma used to tell me that hummingbirds were good luck, meant love, and the best part was that she would tell me that if she could come back as an animal; it would be a hummingbird.
Now I’m not saying that it was my grandma (though part of me wishes to believe it), but I am saying that it made me smile, it made my heart SO happy. I felt it in my spirit, I laughed out loud, I told the kids and showed them the pictures; it reminded me that no matter how bad my days are…
Enjoy the beauty that I saw…

September 11th, 2001… a day we will never forget! A Navy wife’s story.
September 11, 2001 is a day we will never forget, it not only changed our lives, but it changed the way things are done all over the world; from extra security to a renewed sense of pride of our Country and our Armed Forces. As I sit here writing this post for the millionth time, the tears have not stopped falling down my face; for a day that changed the world.
The excitement was intense! I remember being a a newlywed, my Husband was on his way back from a 6 1/2 deployment to the Middle East

In the spirit of making sure my husband pleases me enough to want to stay married to him during our move to NY, he decided to surprise the entire Family with an “emergency” vacation. How cute right? ;D
Financially we were never able to afford anything like this, not even for all of us to go to one amusement park all at the same time, but THANKFULLY we are BLESSED enough at this time to finally have a real vacation 😉
On Thursday our Family was invited to an advanced screening of the “Winnie The Pooh” movie, and let me tell you I was SO excited to go!!!
My love for Winnie the Pooh and all things yellow and red has been around since before my 1st child was born, 18 years ago 😉 The poor boy had no choice but to fall in love with Winnie the Pooh as his entire room was decorated with anything and everything “Pooh” I could find. Since then all my children after inherited his movies, and toys. It’s a Family affair 😉
Today we had a very hot day here in San Diego, Ca. The weather was that of a perfect California day, for the summer!!! It was a whopping 87 degrees! While it was perfect for the Holiday party we attended at Boomers, it was in no way going to work out for my Girl’s night tonight with some Cold Stone Creamery hot cocoa.; or so I thought 😉
By the time it was time to go home, it was chili and perfect for my night’s plans. Of course being at the top of a Ferris wheel didn’t influence that at all! We stopped by and picked up some Cold Stone Creamery hot cocoa. My Walmart carries all 4 kinds!!! Since we are moving out in a few weeks, I thought it would be nice to get together for a while. Even the kids helped set up everything. [Read more…]
