As you have noticed, I was away… again ;/     but now

well at least by my own demands 😉

Many things have happened in these last months, many of which I wish hadn’t, like my son being physically abused by the staff at
Lindenhurst elementary school in Long Island.  After many battles, I decided not to send him back, and that has definitely been a battle of it’s own.

Now, we’re one week away from summer vacation, and after all of the trials of this last year, we are definitely ready for a vacation.  For some time to just be able to lay around and be with each other 😉

After living with relative’s for 9 months, we FINALLY have our own place!!!

We found a house (sadly in my heart it’s still in NY and not California), but at least we have our own little piece of the world.  We didn’t buy it, of course we are renting, but the feeling of finally having our own place, is just too amazing to keep inside 😉

When we left California, my husband had the brilliant idea to leave all of our furniture behind, kind of a “new beginning” for everything; our lives, our place.  Well… now that we were finally able to get our own place, the funds aren’t there for new furniture, or old furniture for that matter, but we’ll make the best of it 😉

Which brings me to my next set of news.  Since I am starting over, instead of having a brand new house with everything brand spankin’ new (as I really wish I could 😉 ), I am excited to be able to “do” everything by myself.
What in the world am I talking about you ask?
I get to upcycle, recycle, diy, and make everything by myself, one day when I am done I can look around and feel satisfied knowing I made all those things I see.  Until then, you will be reading my step by step tutorials, and read a few rants in between, lol.

I am very excited to post about our new adventures, about how we turn an old house into our loving home, as well as my children’s first ever full summer out of school!!!!!
(in California they always have had year round school)
