Star Wars Experience: The Rise of the Resistance ride at Disneyland

The new Star Wars Rise of the Resistance ride at Disneyland is an experience like no other. When you enter the building, there are Stormtroopers and Rebel fighters everywhere to greet you. You then walk into a theater room that looks like it has been taken over by The First Order. After getting in your flight vehicle, you’re off on an adventure with Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron and BB-8 It’s like you’re in one of your favorite Star Wars movies!

Star Wars Experience: The Rise of the Resistance ride at Disneyland

Star Wars Rise of the Resistance is definitely a must-do experience. It’s like you’re in one of your favorite Star Wars movies! I highly recommend this for anyone who loves Star Wars and wants to capture that same feeling they get when watching any of the films in theaters! Be prepared, though; it has some intense moments (especially towards the end)! Completely worth every minute though if you ask me!!

The first day we got on the ride wait list queue and we made it on the last ride of the night. The second and third night that we were there we signed up to the queue at six a.m. and we got to ride around noon. It was literally worth the wait times because the ride was so much fun!

I did not have any expectation for the ride as I had purposely not watched previews, but I really enjoyed it. The way that they made you feel like you were in zero gravity throughout most of the entire thing was incredible!

It kind of felt like when we would go down all those hills on Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland because your body just gets thrown around with no control over anything. It is similar to Star Tours where it makes you feel as if you are actually flying through space, too, which helps bring out a lot more excitement from within.

The queue line has some pretty cool stuff for people who have been following along with everything going on in Galaxy’s Edge as well since this new attraction. If you love Star Wars, this ride is a must-see. It’s an experience like no other and one that appeals to all ages! I can’t wait for my next trip to Disneyland so I can try it out myself.

Sharing the Lessons I Learned While Becoming a Caregiver

Sharing the Lessons I Learned While Becoming a Caregiver

This post is made possible with support from AARP’s Disrupt Aging. All opinions are my own. I grew up helping my Mom care for my Grandparents, it was always something that just came natural. As I grew older I continued to do it and never thought that it was something out of the ordinary. It’s just what you do for Family, for your Parents, for your Grandparents. There was never a manual, a timeline, a list of expectations from both parties; age and caring just went hand-in-hand as time went on. Being raised in a Hispanic home and within the Hispanic culture, it’s expected to care for our elderly and our ill Family members. As time goes on the children become the caregivers and I am happy to be Sharing the Lessons I Learned While Becoming a Caregiver.

DIY: Caregiver Basket with Poise

I am known for making friends with everyone, especially new neighbors. I love the feeling of a close knit neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else and it’s almost like a big family. So a few months ago, when an older couple moved in a few houses down I was the first one knocking on their door with homemade cookies, welcoming them to the neighborhood. And boy, am I glad I did! Hey parents, you know those days where one kid is sick but the others aren’t? The days when you want to bring
the one that isn’t feeling well to the doctor, but then you think of bringing the other children to a
doctor’s office filled with other sick kids?
You know what that means, right?
Yup, more sick kids!
And “ain’t nobody got time for that!”
Of course you can’t do nothing because that would just be wrong and it would lead to more sick
kids as well.

Hi!
Welcome to our little world!
My name is Lily, I am a Mommy to 6 kids; and wife to a US Navy Sailor of 15 years. We are a typical Family trying to live the American dream, and though my son’s Autism and my Husband’s PTSD and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) sometimes try to dampen our mood; we try our hardest to push through it and keep on movin’!

I absolutely LOVE blogging, sharing our life, and our adventures; whether good or not so good.

Our Family went through what WE hope is the worst week ever a year and a half ago, and tragedies continued to hit our Family for a while.
In 4 days, our car was totaled, our house broken into, and our house caught on fire. We are literally having to start over from scratch.
