The point of the Always Live #LikeAGirl program is to show our girls what they can achieve in their world by helping them stay confident. Always and Walmart are encouraging girls to stay in sports and to persevere through failure—both of which are key confidence boosters. To make this possible, Always and Walmart are working to #EndPeriodPoverty.
A girl’s puberty is a very big time in her life. It can literally make or break an event or situation. Although this is a big moment in their life, most girls go through a lot because of all the new things they are experiencing. One of the things that a young girl experiences with the coming of puberty is the beginning of a lack of confidence. When it came to my two daughters this was something they dealt with as well.
Sharing the Lessons I Learned While Becoming a Caregiver
This post is made possible with support from AARP’s Disrupt Aging. All opinions are my own. I grew up helping my Mom care for my Grandparents, it was always something that just came natural. As I grew older I continued to do it and never thought that it was something out of the ordinary. It’s just what you do for Family, for your Parents, for your Grandparents. As time goes on the children become the caregivers and I am happy to be Sharing the Lessons I Learned While Becoming a Caregiver.

Did You Know WE Can Make New York a Tobacco Free State?
I can remember growing up going with my Stepfather to the liquor store to buy his cigarettes, the truth is; sometimes he would even send me to buy them for him. The walls outside of the liquor stores and grocery stores for that matter, were covered in advertisements from cigarette companies. As a Mom of little ones, it is upsetting to drive through some neighborhoods and see the same horrible view, the walls plastered with tobacco advertisements. Why must our kids be subjected to this for a daily view, other than to entice them? There might be a solution, Did You Know WE Can Make New York a Tobacco Free State?
I was invited to attend an event in March on a subject that many don’t know much about. Endometriosis. I was diagnosed with endometriosis many years ago and never spoke to a Doctor about it since. During the event I had a great time listening to a panel of Women speak about their experiences and educate us on a world that many don’t know exist. Living A Livable Life with Endometriosis.

As a Mom of 6 I can not tell you how many times I have had to visit the infamous urgent care. Depending on the severity of the problem, sometimes the struggle of having to leave the other kids at home while I drive one kid or myself has been worst; but sitting in an urgent care office with 6 kids is not the best choice. Not only is it always crowded, but it’s not the ideal place to have children if there are many people that may have some virus to share. So what is better than driving to the urgent care? Having an Urgent Care Visit From the Comfort of Your Home.
As a Mom of 6 kids, time is something I am always short of, and of course it’s even worst when the kids are sick. I don’t know about your Family, but in mine; when one kid gets sick they all follow suit. This is why I truly believe in the title of my post: A Mother’s Lifeline- Amwell Medical Services
