Honey Bunches of Oats, Breakfast on the go! #GalletitasHBOats

As a mom of 6 “littles”, I know that it’s important that they eat breakfast, but I also know how our mornings are around here…
busy!

I have 7 humans rushing out of my house at different times for bus pick-ups and School walks, picture this:
School walk at 6:45 a.m
School bus 7:00 a.m
School bus 7:10 a.m
Work drive off 7:45 a.m
Work drive off 8:00 a.m
School bus 8:50 a.m
Work drive off 9:00 a.m

To add to that crazy schedule, it includes the crazy hours worth of hair brushing, going through millions of outfits, and the constant “go brush your teeth!!!”.  The fact that we only have 1 bathroom with a shower and sink makes for the beginning  of World War 3 every day…
BUT of course I needed to add a bit more crazy right?
I got an “outside the home” job for the first time in 16 years.  So My 8-5 schedule now is included in that morning routine.  Needless to say that in order for school buses not to be missed, sometimes (most of the time) (ok, ALMOST ALWAYS); breakfast is skipped.

  • Made with 100% whole grain, Honey Bunches of Oats Breakfast Biscuits are the perfect go-to breakfast for families on the go, providing long-lasting energy, no matter where your busy mornings may take you.

We were sent a box of Honey Bunches of Oats Breakfast Biscuits to try and they were definitely a major hit in our house.  I HAVE VERY PICKY EATERS, and each one of them tried all three and they “claimed” their boxes.  They have quickly become a morning staple in our house, in the car, and they even leave them in their backpacks.  They young boys? in their pockets of course!  They are not just for breakfast, it’s a great way for them to snack on the way to the bus or if they need a break/snack during school.  They are healthy snacks, so the School allows the kids to have them.

With 3 different flavors, it helps not to get bored with the same kind every day…

  • Honey Bunches of Oats Breakfast Biscuits are available in three delicious flavors, Honey Roasted, Strawberry and Chocolate Chip.

Since I started working, it has been very hard for me to get the schedule down, let alone eat before I leave since I am rushing through the morning.  I have really loved the chocolate chip biscuits, but my favorite is the Honey Roasted biscuits.  I asked to get my lunch cut from 1 hour to 1/2 hour in order for me to come in 1/2 hour later in the mornings, so I can see the kids off; and as you can imagine 1/2 is not enough to eat if I don’t have time to pack a lunch.  Everything is too far to drive and walk and make it back to eat in the remaining time.
So for me, it really has been a game changer; as I can snack on these biscuits if I need a pick me up.

    • Packed in convenient pouches of four crunchy biscuits, it’s the ideal on-the-go breakfast or snack for every member of the family. Each individual package of four crunchy biscuits provides more than 55 percent of your day’s whole grain, 4 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein.

If you haven’t tried them, you should πŸ˜‰
What is your Family’s breakfast routine like during weekday mornings?  Do you run on overtime during the weekend mornings as well?
We do, with 4 kids in sport’s teams; we are always looking for great on the go snacks.
Let me know how you liked them!

Ooooo those look yummy! Our routines are pretty bad. We wake up and rush out the door. I need to start setting aside time for being in the Word, but I keep putting it off. Going to bed at a decent time would probably help! I would also love to get my boys up earlier so they’re not so rushed.

Hi!
Welcome to our little world!
My name is Lily, I am a Mommy to 6 kids; and wife to a US Navy Sailor of 15 years. We are a typical Family trying to live the American dream, and though my son’s Autism and my Husband’s PTSD and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) sometimes try to dampen our mood; we try our hardest to push through it and keep on movin’!

I absolutely LOVE blogging, sharing our life, and our adventures; whether good or not so good.

Our Family went through what WE hope is the worst week ever a year and a half ago, and tragedies continued to hit our Family for a while.
In 4 days, our car was totaled, our house broken into, and our house caught on fire. We are literally having to start over from scratch.
