Mickey Mouse Chocolate Covered Strawberries

4

These Mickey Mouse chocolate covered strawberries are cute and yummy!  This would be perfect for a themed birthday party, Baby Shower, or for no other reason at all; than to enjoy them.( that is our usual reasoning)

It is no secret that our Family is a huge collaboration of Disney fans, from us (the Parents, to the Baby of the Family); so including Disney in our treats should not come as a surprise.  Disney is a constant in our lives.

One of my favorite things about this treat is that it’s so easy that you can let the kids fill themselves with pride as you give them this job!

Mickey Mouse Chocolate Covered Strawberries

You will need:

  • Strawberries
  • White chocolate chips
  • Raspberries OR Raspberries gummy candies

Directions:

  • Melt chocolate according to package.
  • Remove stems from strawberries and leaves.
  • Pat strawberries dry with a paper towel.
  • Dip top of the strawberries in melted white chocolate.
  • Attach raspberry gummy candies/Raspberries on each side of the white chocolate.
  • Let set for 15-20 minutes or until chocolate sets.
  • Serve and enjoy.

We have made these at home many times, and the kids LOVE them, and it’s a healthier snack than a bag of chips. The fact that the kids can make these themselves has been a great bonus; and I love to see what special touches they feel like adding that day.  They have changed to milk chocolate, peanuts, sprinkles, whipped cream; they have tried it all.  I love to see them in their element, and using their imagination!

If you have made these, email us a picture at militaryfamof8 at gmail.com and we will add your pictures to our post!

What are your favorite snacks at home? Do you have a snack that the kids love to make?

See now, I thought those were real blackberries, which you could have used too… but the gummies are so yummy too! Very cute and fun to eat.

What an adorable way to dress up strawberries, and to do a little something different than just dip them in chocolate and be done. Love this!

Hi!
Welcome to our little world!
My name is Lily, I am a Mommy to 6 kids; and wife to a US Navy Sailor of 15 years. We are a typical Family trying to live the American dream, and though my son’s Autism and my Husband’s PTSD and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) sometimes try to dampen our mood; we try our hardest to push through it and keep on movin’!

I absolutely LOVE blogging, sharing our life, and our adventures; whether good or not so good.

Our Family went through what WE hope is the worst week ever a year and a half ago, and tragedies continued to hit our Family for a while.
In 4 days, our car was totaled, our house broken into, and our house caught on fire. We are literally having to start over from scratch.
