Plays by Young Writers
February 18-28, 2010

The work presented in our annual festival of Plays by Young Writers springs from the imaginations of playwrights under age 19, the winners of our California Young Playwrights Contest. Scripts are evaluated in two age groups – winners age 14 or under receive readings, while the others work with Playwrights Project to stage full productions of their scripts. The older playwrights spend months on revision, guided first by writing professionals and later by questions from the artists mounting the plays.

Audiences of all ages enjoy weekend and evening performances, while weekday performances are reserved for school groups. Students are inspired by the teenage writers and intrigued by characters grappling with conflicts much like their own.

The 25th Season of Plays by Young Writers will be produced at The Lyceum Theatre at Horton Plaza in downtown San Diego.

Hi!
Welcome to our little world!
My name is Lily, I am a Mommy to 6 kids; and wife to a US Navy Sailor of 15 years. We are a typical Family trying to live the American dream, and though my son’s Autism and my Husband’s PTSD and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) sometimes try to dampen our mood; we try our hardest to push through it and keep on movin’!

I absolutely LOVE blogging, sharing our life, and our adventures; whether good or not so good.

Our Family went through what WE hope is the worst week ever a year and a half ago, and tragedies continued to hit our Family for a while.
In 4 days, our car was totaled, our house broken into, and our house caught on fire. We are literally having to start over from scratch.
