Disney Movie: Moana Coloring Book Pages and Official Trailer
Ever since my children were babies, we have always been told that they look like they are of Samoan descent. As a result, our oldest Daughter has been in love with Hawaiian and Polynesian dance since she was 4 years old. She looked and felt like she belonged, which wasn’t always the case where we lived.
Raising girls can be tough! You want them to grow up to be respectable young ladies with good manners and etiquette. You also want them to be strong leaders and not be afraid to stand up for what’s right. So, you can imagine how excited my daughters and I were to have the opportunity to host an Elena of Avalor Royal Debut’s Viewing Party. On Friday, July 22nd Disney Channel premiered this awesome series starring their first Latina Princess ever, and we were watching!

Finding MY Inspiration In A Movie About So Much More Than Running, About My Culture #MiInspiracion
Last week I was sent a screening copy of the “McFarland USA” movie, my Family watched it; and I do have to say that I was completely surprised by it and it’s after effects. As a tomboy I am a big fan of sports related movies, especially when they are based on a true story. I knew this movie was based on a true story, but I didn’t really know much more about it. The fact that I am Mexican and the movie is based on Mexican families had not made me more excited to watch it; despite what my friends thought (which was that I would want to watch this movie because it was about Mexican families living in California (hello! I am Mexican, and my family lives in California))
My Husband, our kids, and myself were watching it together. Like with many “popular” movies, I was apprehensive about watching it, trying not to love it at first glance because I wanted to give it a full look before forming my opinion. After the first 5 minutes, there was a scene that caught me

It’s no secret that we are a Military Family, the name of our blog alone says it all… Adventuresof a Military Family of 8.
So, when I was offered the chance to write a post about OUR Hero: Disney’s Planes Fire & Rescue: Celebrating our Everyday Heroes #MiHeroeFavorito; it is no surprise that I jumped at the opportunity.Seriously, writing about OUR own Hero, my Husband, who served over 15 years in the US Navy, who went on 5 Deployments, who spent a Christmas in Afghanistan during an 8 month deployment, who sacrificed SO much for us; it was a no brainer…
In the spirit of making sure my husband pleases me enough to want to stay married to him during our move to NY, he decided to surprise the entire Family with an “emergency” vacation. How cute right? ;D
IT’S OUR 1st VACATION TOGETHER AS A FAMILY EVER!!!!! Financially we were never able to afford anything like this, not even for all of us to go to one amusement park all at the same time, but THANKFULLY we are BLESSED enough at this time to finally have a real vacation 😉
On Thursday our Family was invited to an advanced screening of the “Winnie The Pooh” movie, and let me tell you I was SO excited to go!!!
My love for Winnie the Pooh and all things yellow and red has been around since before my 1st child was born, 18 years ago 😉 The poor boy had no choice but to fall in love with Winnie the Pooh as his entire room was decorated with anything and everything “Pooh” I could find. Since then all my children after inherited his movies, and toys. It’s a Family affair 😉
